Awesome stuff! What level of power are you hoping to see Evan Carter display in 2023?

Thanks Kyle! I don't need him to demonstrate huge power gains to see a productive future outcome for him. I'm more interested to see how the approach holds up in a larger sample at AA. If the K-rate spikes but the power output increases I'm not sure that I see that as a positive change.

Makes sense to me! I guess what I meant is in regards to turning into a Kyle Tucker type. Is your answer the same? I'm nervous b/c we drafted him over Kyle Manzardo in our dynasty league with the hopes of getting the next Tucker 😅

A Tucker outcome would be something like 95th percentile for Carter. Tucker's age 20 season at A+ / AA was actually pretty similar to Carter's age 19 season at the same levels (.274/.346/.528, 25 HR, 21 SB, 20.6% K, 8.8% BB in 523 PA for Tucker, .295/.397/.489, 12 HR, 28 SB, 17.1% K, 13.5% BB in 475 PA for Carter).

Carter to this point has demonstrated marginally better K/BB splits and speed. It's possible he rounds into similar power figures (Tucker was a year older when he tallied 25 HR, he only had 9 in 497 PA as a 19 year old), but I'm not certain he will.

Man those numbers are very interesting... I just hope EC develops into something closer to Kyle Tucker than Brandon Nimmo -- I guess that's my biggest worry. Even if it's slightly less power (and possibly slightly more speed)

One last question -- how big of a mistake did we make passing on Manzardo? 😅

I've been enjoying your content on Twitter! Keep up the good work.

They're in the same tier for me. Dealer's choice imo!

Thanks for the support. Means a lot.
