As we reach the final weeks of the MLB season, most Minor League levels have wrapped up. The playoffs are coming to an end, and while many have checked out in favor of football, you can capitalize in your dynasty league.

Lan-Hong Su, RHP, San Diego Padres

Su has become a super fascinating prospect to me over the last month or so, and he could be the prospect to grab before the offseason. Su finished out the regular season extremely strong, punching out seven and nine batters in his final two starts. Su followed that up with several strong playoff starts, including his one last night in which he struck out eight batters across three innings of one-run ball.

The 19-year-old sits 94 on his fastball and has reached 98 mph. Throwing from a 5’9” release height, Su gets 6.5 feet of extension and nearly 16 inches of IVB on the pitch. It has been effective and he has missed bats at an effective clip.

Su’s curveball works in the low-80s with depth and ten inches of sweeping action. It surprisingly has not missed bats at the rate you would think, but if it is refined and begins missing bats, watch out.

The splitter is the best pitch in the offering, sitting in the mid-80s with late depth and fade. The low-spinning pitch has a whiff rate north of 40 percent as well as a 41 percent chase rate on pitches outside of the zone.

Considering Su signed back in October of 2025 from Taiwan and it was his first year in the States, Su has a lot of potential. The command is above-average, and the stuff is there. Buy in on Song.
