My general AVG and OBP Dynasty rankings focus on a three-year window. But, I feel there is often a need to differentiate value depending on your contention window/draft approach. I decided to create both a win now and a rebuilding list because everyone values players differently depending on where your team is. Take pitchers like Justin Verlander or Max Scherzer for instance. They bring very little long-term value to the table and are hard to trade in a dynasty, but bring a ton of value to a win-now team.

A couple of important notes when looking at these rankings:

• With many dynasty leagues using saves+holds instead of saves, I value relievers that way for this list. In saves+holds, I would much rather wait on relievers with great ratios that will get holds since they are valued the same as saves. Therefore, you will find fewer relievers on my list than others. I try to tier the relievers based on skill level and the number of Sv/Hld they can provide.

• These ranks don’t have a clear distinction between AVG/OBP, but in a general sense combine to two to give you a decent idea of how to value hitters. The approach is simple, players that will help you more in year one, are ranked higher.

• These rankings factor in weekly lineup leagues. For daily, Ohtani is the clear-cut number one.
