Tuesday's Standout Minor League Baseball Performers
Chris breaks down the top standout performances from Tuesday's minor league slate of games, including some standout rookie level studs.
It's officially All-Star week, which is crazy to say. The game’s top minor league prospects will be heading to Atlanta this weekend, meaning they are likely to be out of the lineup as early as tonight. We will still have a full slate of games this week, all eyes will be on Atlanta for the weekend.
I will be heading back to the park tonight to see Christian Oppor’s start, and there is plenty of good action to see. But for now, we need to break down the top standout minor league baseball performers from Tuesday.
Free Minor League Baseball Recap Previews
Each day, I will pick a hitter and pitcher who stand out and deserve the top spot on the sheet. Those players’ reports will be free for all to read. The rest will be paywalled for Dynasty Dugout Subscribers. The article is around 3000 words, giving you detailed player reports to encapsulate everything you need to know.
Braden Davis, LHP, St. Louis Cardinals, 22, A
Davis was selected in the fifth round of the 2024 MLB Draft out of Oklahoma University. Given that he is 22 years old, it diminishes his Single-A performance a bit, and walks have been a major issue. But, last night Davis struck out 11 batters to give him two double-digit strikeout games in his last five.
While not having overpowering stuff, Davis sits 92 mph on his fastball and has touched 96 this year. He does create legit IVB(17 inches) from a 5’7” release height. He gets a good arm-side run on the pitch and it pairs well with a changeup that is Davis’s most used secondary.
Davis’s changeup sits in the low-80s with good carry and 12 inches of fade. It does not have the depth you usually see from a changeup, but it has produced a 30 percent swinging strike rate this year, which is elite.
The slider has near gyro shape, sitting around 82 mph with decent depth and two inches of glove-side movement. There is a cutter in the profile, but it blends with the slider at times.
After walking five batters last time out, Davis managed just one walk and four hits allowed last night while landing 72 percent of pitches for strikes. Davis also generated an impressive 18 whiffs.
Braden Davis' final line:
5.2 IP, H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 12 K
Davis was absolutely electric, inducing 22 whiffs—13 of them with his bread-and-butter changeup, which registered a bonkers 92.9% whiff rate. His fastball velocity was up as well, topping out a career-high 96.9 MPH.

Robert Arias, OF, Cleveland Guardians, 18, CPX
Arias fits the mold of the hitter Cleveland loves to sign on the international market: a strong athlete with advanced bat-to-ball skills. Signing with the Guardians for a $1.9 million bonus, Arias put together a strong performance in his 41-game DSL sample in 2025, slashing .247/.367/.347 with 29 stolen bases and 11 extra-base hits. Having a lean and projectable body, Arias could tap into more power and end up with above-average skills across the board if all clicks.
With a unique swing from the left side, Arias may not look like he would make contact consistently, but he does and has strong bat-to-ball skills. The bat-to-ball skills are highly impressive, and the contact rates back it up. Arias has struck out in less than ten percent of plate appearances. He looks to have a projectable frame with broad shoulders, so there is a chance that we could see Arias grow into more power with time.
The power is coming, and there is solid speed. On Tuesday, Arias collected four hits and stole three bases. It was Arias' second four-hit performance of the year, and he is currently slashing .304/.399/.430 with two home runs and 12 extra base hits on the year in 38 games.
Cleveland #Guardians 18yr old CF prospect Robert Arias collected four hits tonight (4-5 2R 2B) including his 9th double of the season adding three SB vs the White Sox in the Arizona Complex League.
Arias over 38 games on the season:
H) 41
R) 31
2B) 9
3B) 1
HR) 2
RBI) 28
BB) 23— Guardians Prospective (@CleGuardPro)
