The Dynasty Digest: April 4, 2024
Chris Clegg breaks down everything you need to know from the previous days' games on both the MLB and MiLB side.
At this point, I am honestly tired of writing about the top of the Norfolk Tides lineup. They are insanely good and faced off against a Charlotte team with the worst record in Triple-A in each of the last three seasons.
The Tides took the win 26-to-11 in a game where, more often than not, if Charlotte scores 11 runs, they likely win. Norfolk collected 29 hits in the game, and now the top six hitters in their lineup all have OPS north of 1.000.
The top six hitters in the lineup all have OPS north of 1.000, and batting averages north of .375. The worst OPS in their starting lineup is currently .823, and the worst batting average is .273.
You don’t need more detailed breakdowns of each of these players, and if you do, be sure to check out our article on the Orioles' Top Prospects. But here is the run down:
Standout Players from April 3

4/6 2 BB, 2 2B, 2 RBI. EVs of 106.1, 105.6, 103.6
Connor Norby, LF
2/5 2 BB, 1 2B, 1 HR. EVs of 99.2, 97.9
Heston Kjerstad, RF
5/7 1 BB, 2 2B, 2 HR, 10 RBI! EVs of 98.8, 98.7, 98
Coby Mayo, 1B
5/7 1 2B, 1 3B.EVs of 112.3, 107.6, 105.7
Kyle Stowers, DH
4/7 1 2B, 3 HR, 7 RBI. EVs of 107, 104.9, 103.5, 100.1
Joey Loperfido, OF/2B, HOU
Loperfido blasted his fourth home run in five games after coming off an 0-6 day with six strikeouts. It is funny how quick the perception on a player changes in the early part of the season. Loperfido has ten strikeouts on the year which is good for a solid 43.5 percent clip. If you take out the six strikeout game he is averaging just one strikeout per game.
His home run left the bat with an exit velocity of 110.3 mph which was his hardest hit ball in Triple-A since he joined Sugar Land late last season. The average exit velocity currently sits at 91.4 mph, with a 90th percentile exit velocity near 107 mph.
