The Dynasty Digest: August 11, 2023

Chris Clegg runs down all of Thursday's action that you need to know for dynasty leagues.

Kyle Teel, C, BOS, 21, A+

I could rave about Kyle Teel for a while, and I certainly will in a detailed scouting report soon. Teel is the real deal behind the plate and with the bat. He has thrown out both runners that have attempted to steal on him and has six hits in ten at-bats so far this year.

Teel has impressive bat speed and quick hands through the zone and quickly adjusts with his bat. This highly athletic build has power, plate discipline, and contact. I will be writing a detailed report soon, but you need to know that Teel is a stud and should be treated as such.

Matt Shaw, SS, CHC, 21, A+

The Cubs first-rounder hit his first High-A home run on Thursday en route to a three-hit night that ended a double shy of the cycle. Shaw now has multiple hits in four of his seven High-A games. Shaw brings a strong feel for contact with underrated power, as shown by a 107 mph 90th percentile exit velocity in college.

Shaw should be someone you are targeting in the top ten of your FYPDs as an infielder who could move quickly through the Cubs system with power and contact and sneaky-good stolen base instincts.
