The Daily Dugout Report - September 3, 2026
A detailed report on everything you need to know regarding top prospects and maybe some under-the-radar prospects who could make an impact in fantasy leagues.
We have reached the final week of the 2026 Minor League Baseball season, at least on the Single-A and High-A side of things. Playoffs will happen next week for some teams, but the majority of teams wrap up this week.
That does mean we might see some prospsects get a bump from High-A to Double-A to get them an extra week of action and the possibility of more players going to Triple-A as they run an extra week beyond Triple-A.
Regardless, there are still things to be taken away from what happens over the final week of the season. Let’s dive in.

The Prospect Report
🚀 Standout of The Day
Devin Taylor, OF, Athletics (AAA)
Line: 4/6 2 HR
Why The Performance Matters:
Taylor enjoyed a successful three-year career at Indiana, hitting .350 for his career there with a .459 OBP. The numbers jumped in his junior season as Taylor blasted 18 home runs and stole 12 bases in 269 trips to the plate. Taylor slashed .374/.494/.706 with an 11 percent strikeout rate and a 19 percent walk rate.
Promoted to Triple-A on Monday, Taylor has not worked his way from High-A up to Triple-A all this year. In his second game there, he blasted two home runs to up his total on the year to 22 and he now has over 100 RBI. The overall slash line is up to .316/.420/.507.
Making strong swing decisions, Taylor also makes plenty of contact. His chase rate on the year is around 23 percent and while the zone contact is lower than you would like to see at 78 percent, the power clearly plays. The exit velocities are above-average and Taylor does a good job getting to the pull-side. -CC
Davis Polo, RHP, Atlanta Braves (A+)
Line: 6 IP/4 H/3 ER/2 BB/12 K
Why The Performance Matters:
A 2022 international signee out of Colombia, Polo is 21 years old and missed all of 2025 due to injury, but returned and looks the part. Polo was promoted to High-A last week where he put up a strong performance in Greenville and then had a career day last night where he struck out 12 against Winston Salem.
Now up to a career-high 110.2 innings, Polo has a 3.25 ERA, which has lowered to 2.24 over his last 56.1 innings. The strikeout rate sits at 26.5 percent, and Polo has walked 9.2 percent of hitters. The command has been inconsistent since coming back, but it seems to be slowly getting there.
Polo works his fastball around 92 mph but was up to 94, and it held deep into start. The changeup worked in the mid-80s, in a similar velocity band to his slider. There is a curveball/sweeper in the profile as well that works in the upper-70s.
Polo is a good deep league add who has some intruige to move up boards. -CC
