Gavin Grahovac, 3B, Los Angeles Angels

Line: 2/4 2 HR

Why The Performance Matters:

Grahovac was one of the best freshmen in the nation in 2024 as he blasted 23 home runs and slashed a strong .298/.390/.596. There was talk at the time that he could wind up being the top overall pick in the draft. He missed all of 2025 but returned this spring to A&M and mashed 22 home runs and slashed an even more impressive .339/.429/.722. The Angels snagged him in the third round and gave him a $1.25 million bonus.

The power metrics were strong as he posted a 109 mph 90th percentile exit velocity this past year. The issue with him is his plate skills and making contact. He posted a 81% zone contact. So far things have looked okay in pro ball, but he is also in the California League, which is worse competition than the SEC.

There is no doubt that Grahovac can mash, so if you want a power-hitting corner infielder for cheap in your FYPD, Grahovac is a good one to target. -CC

Jacob Bresnahan, LHP, San Francisco Giants

Why The Performance Matters:

Bresnahan was one of my favorite under-the-radar arms I saw back in 2024. After being drafted in the 13th round of the 2023 draft by Cleveland, he was shipped to San Francisco at the 2024 deadline for Alex Cobb.

Flying under the radar for some time, Bresnahan posted a 2.61 ERA last season in 93 Single-A innings and has been equally good this year with a 2.92 ERA in 98.2 High-A innings. The strikeout rate sits at 30 percent, and the walk rate is just below 10 percent.

Bresnahan pounds the zone with a high strike rate and a fastball that works in the 93-94 mph range. While it feels like he has been around a while, he just turned 21 and has steadily filled out his 6’4” frame and added velocity, so I would not be shocked to see him add more. He pairs the fastball with a mid-80s changeup and slider. The changeup shows heavy fade and late tumbling action, playing quite well against right-handed bats. Hitters are chasing it out of the zone at elite rates.

The slider sits in the 85 mph range, and Bresnahan has transitioned it from being more of a sweeper to more of a tighter breaking slider. It has been a huge bat-missing weapon. On top of that, he keeps the ball on the ground at solid rates. He is moving way up the rankings. -CC
