Starting Pitcher Streamers 3/28-3/31
Michael Simione breaks down all the pitching streamers that you need to know for this weekends slate of games.
Good morning everyone! This is my first article for Dynasty Dugout! Originally I was going to write for my own substack but Chris and I got to talking and I would much rather write for his up-and-coming brand.
Chris has an awesome vision for what he is doing and I can tell good things are coming his way. He is carving out a real niche and giving it everything he has. You can’t ask for more than that.
For those who don’t know me…I used to have my own blog SP Streamer but because of life, I had to shut it down a couple of years back. I’m obsessed with pitching so I kind of specialize in that area as well as streaming.
Fun facts about me:
I hate pancakes
I hate mashed potatoes
I clearly have texture issues
Golf is amazing although Clegg is definitely much better than me at it
I build legos
I am a nerd
As for fantasy baseball…
Every week I will release a weekly streaming article. It will provide the options you will have, who I think will work out best, and other tidbits. It honestly is extremely helpful not only for streaming but also for spotting potential breakouts.
To be honest I don’t have my all-time statistics on my streamer picks. I know it is near a 3.50 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP. But since I don’t know 100% (somehow can’t find all of my sheets) let’s just say combined my stats are a 1.10 ERA and a .084 WHIP with a 14 K/9. That doesn’t sound too optimistic to me.

To start the season I like to go with some upside and luckily for us the streamer with the highest upside on opening day also faces a terrible offense. Frankie Montas is a beast when his splitter is on and in his last spring training start he proved that notion.
Strikeout Upside
Frankie Montas and Josiah Gray.

This was honestly tough between A.J. Puk and Kyle Harrison. I decided to lean Puk because of the skill-set. His four-seam and sinker provide really nice deception and his slider can be elite at inducing whiffs. I also really like that he was using the sinker to get swings outside of the zone last season.
Strikeout Upside
A.J. Puk and Kyle Harrison.

I’ll be frank with you, I don’t like any of these options. So many question marks with no real standout easy opponent. Usually, when that happens I ride with talent and win potential. I’m going to have to go with Zack Littell.
His stuff was good last season but not great. With that said, he has looked good in spring training. Against the Braves regulars, he had 6Ks in five innings in one of his starts. His swinging strike rate in all of spring training is 21.3% and his velocity is up over a tick. Interesting for sure.
Strikeout Upside
DL Hall, Jared Jones, and Zack Littell.

Streamer of the Day
So many options and so much room for activities *insert Step Brothers gif*. You have Fedde who was impressive overseas, Flaherty who has shown flashes in ST, Trevor Rogers who was once a polarizing pitcher, and perhaps old-timer Carlos Carrasco.
I have to go with the matchup here. Jack Flaherty draws a start against the White Sox. A White Sox offense that is basically in shambles. If Flaherty can sustain a high velocity on his fastball we can see a nice stream here.
Strikeout Upside
Tylor Megill, and Trevor Rogers.
Ratio Play (High Floor)
Jack Flaherty and Ryne Nelson.
