San Francisco Giants Top Prospects for 2026
1. Bryce Eldridge, 1B, 21, 6’7”/240, MLB
Bryce Eldridge is going to be a lot of fun to roster on our fantasy teams; he hits the ball about as hard as anyone, but the question will be just how much contact he makes. In 433 plate appearances across Triple-A, Double-A, and a brief stint in the AZL, he hit .260/.333/.510 with 25 homers. While he hit zero homers in the majors, he did get a brief taste of the highest level of baseball.
Bryce Eldridge has an upright stance, he does a slight toe-tap, and then his tremendous bat speed does the rest. He has some loft in his swing path and, because of his long levers, he is able to get the barrel on pitches all over the strike zone.
He posted a 79% zone contact rate at Triple-A, as well as a 33% whiff rate. What is more alarming is that he has some issues picking up off-speed pitches like changeups, sliders, and curveballs down and away; he swings over the top of them, posting over a 50% whiff rate against these sorts of pitches.
Eldridge’s power is near the top of the scale; he posted a 108 mph 90th percentile EV and a 63% hard-hit rate during his time in Sacramento (Triple-A). There is 30-homer potential in his bat as he hits the ball just about as hard as anyone; he posted a 114 max, and just recently posted a 113 in Spring Training. I would love to see him pull the ball in the air more, but that might be the final piece of the puzzle.
There isn’t a lot of speed here, and he is going to strike out at an above-average rate because of his long levers and a hole in his swing down and in. If he and the Giants can close that hole and maybe get him to lift and pull on a more consistent basis, he could be a perennial league leader in home runs.

90th Percentile Peak Outcome: .240/.350/30 HR/5 SB
