Prospects To Sell High in Dynasty

Chris Clegg breaks down 5 prospects that you should considering selling high on in your dynasty leagues.

It is important to note that this article is not a knock on any prospect, but the Dynasty game is like playing the stock market. It is essential to know when to hold and when to cash out on a prospect. Sometimes we miss and sell a prospect that ends up being a star. But through continued refinement of my process of evaluating prospects, I feel like I have a decent grasp on data to look for in prospects to cash out on the hype.

In general, the best time to sell a prospect in a dynasty is:

1. When the announcement drops that a prospect will make their MLB debut

2. Right after they have been drafted

3. When Social Media hype on a player is at an all-time high.

Our minds often come subject to different kinds of biases without even realizing it. Often when one person in the industry starts pushing a prospect, everyone jumps on board without question. Few are willing to push back with their own thoughts. Then, there are a lot of people moving said prospect up the rankings and talking about them, leading us to believe that a prospect is worthy of a certain ranking. We often think and talk about prospects in a certain ranking or tier versus who the prospect is and who they project to be.

With the use of data, video, and live looks, I feel like these five prospects should be cashed out on while their value is peak.
