The Marlins drafted perhaps the riskiest hitter in the 2026 MLB Draft when they selected Jacob Lombard with the 14th selection. Lombard is the brother of Yankees prospect George Lombard Jr.

The big knock on Jacob Lombard is whether he will hit enough to ever allow his power and speed to come into play. He struggled to make contact during his prep career. He has, however, showcased serious raw power and is one of his draft class's better athletes.
