1. Jared Grindlinger, OF, 17, 6’3”/185, HS (Prev Rank: NA)

Jared Grindlinger reclassified into the 2026 MLB draft, and parlayed that into being the 12th overall selection in the MLB Draft. 

Jared Grindlinger has a super projectable frame, and his fantasy ceiling is very high, as he can generate ample loft and power in his swing. There are many of the same things that were said about Bryce Eldridge at the same age. There is a present feel for making contact, and there is the sort of frame to project upon more power coming in. Grindlinger is a more fluid athlete than Eldridge at the same age. Grindlinger has a much better chance to remain in the outfield than Eldridge ever did, which boosts the fantasy profile. 

If all things don’t work out Grindlinger could be converted into being a pitcher, where he has back-end of the rotation stuff right now. The important thing to keep in mind is Grindlinger is 17 years old, and will be all of 17 for the rest of the season. He has a lot of ways his body can fill out and add more muscle. There is a baseline level of good hit tool with plenty of power projection. Look for him to continue to two-way for the time being.
