Los Angeles Angels Top Prospects for 2026

1. Tyler Bremner, RHP, 21, 6’2”/190, NCAA

Bremner entered the 2025 season as arguably the top pitching prospect for the draft. A rough start to the season led to a higher ERA than you might expect, but Bremner ended the year on a high note. Six of his final seven starts ended with ten strikeouts or more. Walks were still an issue at times, but Bremner walked just three batters over his final three starts.

The result jump at the end of the season coincided with a jump in fastball stuff. Sitting in the mid-90s consistently, Bremner creates 18-20 inches of IVB on his fastball with nearly 15 inches of arm-side run. It comes in from an average 5’9” release height, but also has fairly short extension.

The changeup is the bread and butter in the profile, though, as Bremner creates a ton of arm-side fade of up to 20 inches. It plays off the fastball well, tunneling it and then diving off toward the bottom of the zone.

Bremner’s slider is a decent third offering at the moment. It sits in the mid-80s, and while it has been hit hard, it ran a 33 percent whiff rate this season. Most teams probably look at Bremner’s fastball/changeup combo and hope to refine the slider in pro ball. He feels like a high-floor arm that still has room to grow as a pitcher.
