1. Anthony Eyanson, RHP, 21, 6’2”/208, AA (Prev Rank: 2 in BOS)

2026 Update

Upon being drafted by the Red Sox, Eyanson had questions about whether the fastball would play velocity- and shape-wise. The Red Sox believed in their pitch development enough to take the shot, and it has paid off.

His fastball can now touch 100, and he is looking like an absolute steal for the Red Sox. He sat around 92 last year but is now consistently 93-94 mph with strong cut-ride shape. He was sitting 95 mph early on in the season, but has ticked back a bit.

His breakers are also noticeably better. He has a really good curveball he can use low in the zone to get whiffs, and it gives him a different look alongside his slider and splitter. We are talking around negative 17 inches of IVB on it. The mid-80s slider and splitter play well off the fastball.

The biggest issue right now is Eyanson works everything north-south. The most horizontal movement he gets on any pitch is his curveball which has around five inches of sweep. Regardless, the arsenal will play and Eyanson gives hitters a unique look from his 6’5” release height.
