Atlanta Braves Top Prospects for 2027

1. Eric Hartman, OF, 20, 6’1”/185, AA

The Braves snagged Hartman with their 20th-round pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, giving him an over-slot to keep him from his college commitment at Michigan. After having a solid debut in 2025, Hartman was one of the biggest breakouts among all prospects in 2026. Despite struggling in Double-A, he still blasted 26 home runs and stole 56 bases.

After striking out in 23 percent of his plate appearances in High-A, the number jumped north of 30 percent in High-A. The contact rates were actually similar at both levels, but the power jump was huge. Hartman saw a notable jump in exit velocity data, running a 90th percentile exit velocity of 105 mph and he did a great job pulling the ball in the air with authority.

Hartman is a 70-grade runner in addition to what is now plus power. He commands center field well and also steals bases efficiently. Hartman stole 56 bases in 2026 on 68 attempts.

The contact skills are average as is the approach. But when you pair it with the power/speed, Hartman is highly intriguing for fantasy. If someone in your league is down on him after his Double-A numbers, but low.
